Transport Your Gear in Style

This is the best sword bag I've ever come across! I've used it to transport my bokken and shinai to training. Or, if you travel a lot with your swords, this bag will keep your gear safe and secure wherever you go. It's tough, expertly made, and has the modern swordsman in mind. It's made out of high-density black fabric (it feels like some kind of synthetic canvas to me). Check out the details below.

Top Five Reasons the Paul Chen (aka Hanwei) Sword Bag is the Best Sword Bag Ever

  • Durable construction
  • Holds up to 3 swords easily
  • Large pocket for water and accessories
  • Large inner-sleeve pockets for extra training weapons
  • Shoulder strap and carrying handle

Suitable for Long or Short Swords

Since the bag is adjustable length-wise, you can fit short or long swords with ease. You can also fit sticks or a hanbo as well.

The Large Sword Bag Holds up to 3 Swords Comfortably (10" x 52-1/4")

Medium Sword Bag Holds up to 2 Swords Comfortably (8-1/2" x 52-1/4")

The bag pictured here is the Large Sword Bag. It's 10" wide and 52-1/4" long. The Medium Sword Bag is 8-1/2" wide and 52-1/4" long. The Large is the best bet, imho. You can easily fit three swords with comfortable room to spare. This way, you can take a bokken, shinai, and a real sword where every you go. Or two different bokken and one shinai. Or......you get the idea.

Two Inside Sleeve Pockets

The inside sleeve pockets are a hidden bonus. There is one on each side of the inner walls of the sword bag. They each have a full zipper that runs the length of the bag. These hidden pockets are good for just about anything. I usually carry a few training knives and a hanbo (half-staff) in them.

Outer Pocket for Water or Supplies

There is a handy, perfectly placed outer pocket for all the little stuff you need to carry with you. I can easily put a large water bottle, wallet, keys, and cell phone with room to spare.

Snap Key-Strap for Convenience

If you don't want to put your keys in the pocket, this handy little snap-strap keeps them safe and secure on the outside.

Adjustable Top Flap for Secure Closure

If your swords or bokken or shinai aren't long enough for the sword bag, no problem! The top flap zips all the way up, then folds over, then snaps snugly in place making a tight, compact bag. This is a modern variation on those traditional sword sleeves that fold over and tie shut.

Reinforced Leather Bottom

The bottom of the sword bag is reinforced with tough, suede leather for extra protection against wear and tear. A nice touch if you ask me!

Comfortable Handle

A secure handle at the middle of the bag makes it easy to pick up and go in a hurry.

Adjustable Shoulder Strap

The fully adjustable shoulder strap lets you sling the whole bag over your shoulder like a ninja, or slung low like a duffle bag. Either way, it's comfortable.
